About

This is me flying

There is no introduction or tl;dr here as summarizing my life in a few sentences is beyond my ability. Apologies for the short story that follows.

I grew up in Bogra, a small city in northern Bangladesh. Everything changed when I got my first PC. From gaming day & night to tweaking the PC with hack tools (apologies, Microsoft and others) and exploring tech articles, it became my passion.

My high school days were rather uneventful. I frequently went on bicycle rides with friends, discussing life and its beliefs.

I was fortunate to ace the admission test and secure a spot at the country’s top engineering school, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, in my desired department, computer science. This reignited my passion and expanded my knowledge of programming. Over time, I realized the software industry was the path to follow, as I felt a special passion for building things.

I moved to Dhaka in 2015, the mega city, lived in my university’s dorm. Besides studies, I taught programming to some aspiring coders and high school students, volunteered for Badhan, organized events, including a national tech fest, and traveled around Bangladesh and India. I ignored my embarrassing design skills and worked on some things.

In my second year, I interned at Durbin Labs, where I gained valuable experience and learned the fundamentals of software engineering.

I graduated in 2019. These were the best four years of my life!

My first job after graduation was at Field Buzz. This experience taught me how to learn effectively, understand project development processes, and navigate a professional work environment.

Always eager to explore and create, I developed the frontend for Itehk, a Singapore-based delivery startup and the website for DeVPro Partners, a leading solar energy consultancy in Bangladesh.

When COVID hit, I took on some voluntary duties. I worked with Shomonnoi Bangladesh, helping those in need during the challenging times. One of my collaborative projects, TraanChitro, was featured in a national newspaper.

My next job was at Intelligent Machines in 2021, an excellent place to work with emerging technologies. I was involved in engineering multiple AI-driven products in the FinTech and MarTech domains. I attended client meetings and wrote BRDs, as I was always interested in the business side of things.

I was invited to judge a couple of national hackathons, which was an invaluable experience. Additionally, I took system design sessions and began delving deeper into startups and system architectures.

I also worked part-time at NestGo, a company situated at Tennessee, FL for four months. It was a great experience working to build a no-code visual programming language, FloJoy.

Since 2023, I've been with Optimizely, a global leader in DXP. Working alongside a diverse team spread across the globe has been a tremendous learning experience for me.

I joined Yanur Islam Piash as the co-founder of Monsha.AI in 2024, a SaaS tool designed for teachers (do check it out!). I also hold the role of CTO there.

I'm available as a mentor in CS and SE at Intellectify.io. to guide aspiring developers, share industry insights, and help them achieve their career goals.

Additionally, I'm collaborating with friends from the US on developing a social app, and a micro-SaaS tool.

I enjoy browsing the internet and diving into random topics – Reddit is my place. I'm a Manchester United fan as I like depressing weekends. :(

I'd love to travel more, but I'm not entirely sure why I haven't done so yet. Recently, I went to Kashmir with my lovely wife, and I'm hoping we can keep the travel streak going!

My favorite quote

I aspire to become a solutions architect and create something that reaches a global user base. My goal is to achieve financial independence by taking on risky yet rewarding challenges.

Here's to hoping it all works out!
